The campus of MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School Pandharpur resonated with pride and devotion as Shiv Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The occasion created a meaningful atmosphere where students came together to honour Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, whose life reflects the rich heritage of Indian culture and timeless values of courage, justice, and leadership.
The celebration began with the garlanding of Shivaji Maharaj’s portrait, followed by powada singing, speeches, and cultural presentations. Through their heartfelt performances, students beautifully expressed respect for India’s glorious history and demonstrated a deep connection with cultural traditions.
As the programme progressed, students learned about the ethical principles that Shivaji Maharaj stood for—discipline, integrity, respect for women, unity, and dedication to the welfare of society. These teachings helped them understand the importance of strong moral values and responsible citizenship rooted in Indian ethos.
The Shiv Jayanti celebration became a deeply inspiring learning experience. It strengthened cultural awareness, nurtured patriotic spirit, and encouraged students to practise Indian values of courage, honesty, and service in their daily lives, contributing positively to society.
