Visual & Performing Arts
At MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School, Pandharpur, we believe that education is incomplete without nurturing creativity and self-expression. Our Visual and Performing Arts program is designed to give students the freedom to explore, experiment, and express themselves through various artistic forms.

Performing Arts
Performing arts at MIT VGS offer students a platform to showcase their talent in dance, drama, and music.
Dance
Dance classes expose students to classical, folk, and contemporary forms, helping them build rhythm, grace, and cultural appreciation. Special emphasis is placed on Indian Classical Dance forms such as Bharatanatyam and Kathak. Through these art forms, students learn not only movement but also the storytelling power of gestures (mudras) and expressions (abhinaya). Classical dance training develops discipline, physical fitness, concentration, and an appreciation for India’s spiritual and cultural traditions. Regular practice sessions help improve posture, flexibility, memory, and coordination, while stage performances instill confidence and stage presence. Students also participate in folk and contemporary dance, creating a balance between tradition and modernity.
Music
In music, students receive training in both vocal and instrumental forms, learning classical ragas, devotional songs, as well as contemporary pieces. Instruments like tabla, harmonium, guitar, and keyboard are taught, giving students a broad exposure to sound and rhythm.
