In the heart of winter’s chill, as the first signs of spring begin to emerge, MIT VGS Pandharpur geared up to celebrate Vasant Panchami. This festival marks the advent of spring and is traditionally associated with Saraswati Puja worship of the goddess of knowledge, music, art, wisdom, and learning.
The school campus awakened to a vibrant makeover in shades of yellow and white, as the teachers and students were seen in yellow and white attire symbolizing the blossoming of mustard flowers which also represents prosperity.
The Saraswati Puja was conducted with great reverence in the school’s assembly. A beautifully decorated idol of Goddess Saraswati was installed, surrounded by books, musical instruments, and art supplies symbolising the students’ surrender of their learning tools at the deity’s feet, seeking blessings for success and enlightenment. The ceremonial puja was performed by the honorable Principal. Following the puja, a cultural extravaganza unfolded, showcasing the rich heritage and talent of the students. Classical dance performance, and speech in Sanskrit and Marathi, highlighting the significance of art and culture in our lives captivated the audience. A brief video featuring Goddess Saraswati🙏 was screened, highlighting the significance of Vasant Panchami.
In embracing the essence of Vasant Panchami, MITVGS not only pays tribute to the goddess Saraswati but also sows the seeds of curiosity, creativity, and reverence for knowledge in young minds, ensuring that the legacy of this beautiful festival continues to flourish in the hearts of the future generations.
