Marathi Bhasha Diwas Celebration At MIT VGS Pandharpur

Marathi Bhasha Diwas is celebrated in honour of the Marathi language. It is celebrated on 27th February to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dnyanpeeth award winner late poet V. V. Shirwadkar who is also known as Kusumagraj.

Marathi being the official language of the State of Maharashtra, the main focus of this celebration was to promote Maharashtrian culture amongst the students. We, at MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul Schools believe that exposing the students to multiple languages enhances their access to people and resources. For better communication and fruitful experiences imparting the learning of different languages, both native and foreign, facilitates students to gain a better understanding of varied cultures and unfamiliar customs. The event thus enabled the students and teachers to actively participate in the Marathi language day celebrations where they got an opportunity to display an appreciation of the multicultural world.
