The students of MIT VGS Pandharpur celebrated Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti with great enthusiasm. The objective to celebrate the program was to make students aware of the leadership qualities of the Great leader.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti is celebrated as the birth anniversary of the Maratha emperor Shivaji. Shivaji Maharaj is one of the bravest Maratha warriors.
The tiny tots of the pre-primary section came dressed in traditional dress- typically as Shivaji Maharaj, Jijabai, Hindu Mavale, etc. The teacher explained the life journey of Shivaji Maharaj in a PowerPoint presentation. The program included songs and quotes by students. Some students gave speeches highlighting the deeds of the great emperor. The prime attraction of the celebration was singing a powada by students of Nursery, Jr KG and Sr KG. The students actively participated in the program with full enthusiasm.
The entire program was carried out in elated spirits and rising zeal.
